Younger Zen
single covers

Cristo Redentor, written by Kevin Le Gendre, offers a unique perspective on questions of belonging and the notion of heartland. The song by Younger Zen depicts the lives of Trinidadian migrants leaving England, viewing the ‘mother country’ after decades away as a country of hummingbirds and steel-drums. But finding that when they return the reality of coming ‘home’ can be very different indeed.
